Ashlar Perfect Solutions is a Yorkshire based training and consultancy company, with international experience, offering advice, mentoring and support to businesses to deliver increased safety and assurance through developing client capabilities.

 

The company is based in Wakefield and lead by Christopher Dix (Chartered Accountant) and Iain Dixon (Director) and is supported by a team of experienced Associates who bring expertise in training, mentoring and operational capability in:

Our Methodology

We work closely with prospective clients and follow a proven methodology of:

 

  1. Engagement and exploration.
  2. Training product design and development.
  3. Training delivery with bespoke pedagogy strategies to reinforce learning and development, which includes tabletop and practical exercises.
  4. Post training mentoring, coaching and review, with continuous development of clients, including portfolio design and mentoring where desired.

Our Team

Our team brings significant breadth and depth of experience, with resilience and includes Health Safety specialists, Financial Investigators, criminal, HR and legal specialist investigators and advisors.  Several of our associates are former senior police officers who have substantial experience investigating a wide variety of crimes and incidents in UK ands abroad.  The team has experience of developing teaching, mentoring, and learning packages, and of working with national awarding bodies to deliver competency related programmes, and have significant experience in designing and delivering training programmes.

 

The team collectively have considerable expertise and experience of managing criminal and regulatory compliance investigations ranging from simple to complex matters both in UK and internationally.  These include incidents involving counter terrorism, serious and organised crime (including cyber-crime), Health & Safety breaches and investigations on behalf of HM Coroner, together with internal grievance, discipline, H&S and public complaint investigations. 

 

The police investigators also bring extensive experience of managing and training intelligence driven proactive and reactive investigations, and public safety events and critical incident management in high risk, multi-agency environments.  A number are Associates to HM Inspector of Constabulary, Fire & Rescue.

 

We also offer forensic accountancy and cyber investigations, ISO readiness and compliance assessment services, and legal support for tribunal, mediation and professional compromise.

 

We can deliver capacity and capability building expertise through training, advising, and assisting clients both in UK and internationally, and have significant experience of supporting the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and United Nations in fragile and conflict affected countries.

Vetting

APS’s Associates are each known personally to the company.  Many still hold or have held high level security vetting credentials with the UK Government, or are DBS checked. All are trustworthy, dependable and many have run their own companies.  They bring a level of assurance and trust that brings confidence and credibility to our programmes.
